Man accused of making threat at ‘drug house’

An assault was reported at a Clinton house that was the site of multiple police investigations, according to court documents.

On Nov. 1, Brandon S. Vitovitz, 29, drove a truck to the house and started yelling at three people who were in the garage of the house on Sun Vista Circle. He repeatedly demanded to know where his “stuff” was, used profanities and threatened to kill everyone at the house, according to the report by a deputy with the Island County Sheriff’s Office.

Vitovitz grabbed a man by the throat and screamed that he was going to kill him, the report states.

A woman who had arrived with Vitovitz pulled him back to the truck after one of the men threatened to call police. Vitovitz “burned out” and struck the mailbox as he sped away, the report says.

Vitovitz made a preliminary appearance in Island County Superior Court Nov. 6. Judge Alan Hancock found probable cause to believe Vitovitz committed the crimes of “harassment – threat to kill” and assault in the fourth degree.

Hancock set Vitovitz’s bail at $2,500.

An investigator with the sheriff’s office referred to the residence as a “drug house” in a search warrant application earlier this year. He wrote that numerous transients, drug users and felons had lived at the house.
