“Melissa Ponder was shaken up but appeared to have no injuries from an accident Monday at Coles Road and Highway 525.Jim Larsen / staff photoTraffic was slowed to a crawl on Highway 525 Monday afternoon as emergency crews responded to a traffic accident.According to the State Patrol, the accident involved Melissa Ponder, 25, of Lynnwood, who was driving a 2000 Ford Taurus; and Jeffery Christensen, 43, of Clinton, who was driving a 1987 Ford pickup.Christensen was southbound on the highway and slowed to turn right onto Coles Road. Ponder was right behind him and failed to notice. Her car’s front bumper hit Christensen’s pickup in the rear. The Taurus received severe front-end damage while damage to the pickup appeared to be relatively minor.Neither driver was seriously hurt, although Christensen complained of a sore neck, according to the State Patrol report. Neither vehicle was carrying passengers. “
