“The South Whidbey Youth Center continues its Youth 2000 Campaign with the third annual Music with a View Dinner and Auction, which will be held on Sunday, Sept. 10, at the Useless Bay Golf and Country Club from 2-6 p.m.This year’s event features auctioneer Kip Toner and celebrity host Sue Frause introducing more than 250 items up for bid. They include vacation opportunities near and far, from bed and breakfast stays to the Seattle Sheraton, Semiahmoo Inn, vacation houses in Spain and Ireland, and several cruises.Or if you prefer to stay at home, bid on one of the catered dinners or gourmet desserts. Practical items such as power tools, appliances, pellet stoves, and firewood are offered, as well as gifts and services, fine art and food items, such as desserts for a year or a full side of beef.Tickets are $35, and include an entree choice of pesto roasted salmon or top sirloin with mushroom sauce.
