“The charter members of the new Whidbey Island Nordic Lodge elected and installed its first set of officers on May 19. Serving are R. Peter Berg, president; Richard Johnson, vice president; Linda Iversen, secretary; Jack Zimmerman, treasurer; and Sid Iverson, counselor.Others installed in charter positions include Sue Vail, Henry Otteson, Bert Bjorling, Margaret Peterson, Dell Craig, Annelise Carew, Audry Taie, Mary Ann Saglie, Nadine Simpson, Holly McQuinn, Tracy Zimmerman, Jackie Bohn, Joy Iverson, Elizabeth Fairfax and Arlene Brandal.With an initial membership of 86 charter members from all areas of Whidbey Island, the lodge has continued to grow as additional member join.
