The drivers of two vehicles that collided on a South Whidbey road Saturday were not seriously injured, according to a report from the Island County Sheriff’s Office.

A 29-year-old Burlington man was driving a 2012 Buick Regal south on Bayview Road around 1:38 p.m. on July 24 when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan driven by a 56-year-old woman from Ogden, Utah.

The accident occurred near the Bayview Road intersection with Hi Crest Road.

Investigators do not believe that drugs or alcohol played roles in the cause of the crash, but the 29-year-old Burlington man was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license.

According to the report, both drivers sustained possible minor injuries.
