Charles J. Frodsham

Charles J. “Chuck” Frodsham of Freeland died at Whidbey General Hospital Nov. 20. He was 69.

Born Sept. 1, 1932, to Kenneth and Ella Mae Griffith Frodsham of Longview, he was the 11th of 16 children.

Frodsham attended Bremerton High School before entering the Air Force during the Korean War. Following his military service, he worked as an independent carpenter.

Frodsham is survived by three sons, Patrick, William and David; two daughters, Lynn Horton and Debra Gomez; four brothers, Lloyd, Don, Frank and Larry; and five sisters, Charlotte Benoit, Alice Lahman, Leona Apling, Claudia Hodges and Maria Adams. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Frodsham was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; his parents; five brothers, Kenneth, Jack, Harold, Bob and Paul; a sister, Thelma Lees; and a daughter, Nancy.

Memorial services for Frodsham are scheduled for 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at the Holmes Harbor Rod and Gun Club. A private family inurnment is planned at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.

Marie Artrip

Marie Artrip, 82, passed away Nov. 24, 2001.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home, Seattle.

A celebration of life will be held at the Bayview Senior Center on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 12:30 p.m.
