Plane wreckage recovered

Around 9 a.m. on Thursday, South Whidbey resident Beth Hom observed float plane wreckage being recovered from her viewpoint at her Mutiny Bay home. Ten people were killed when the plane crashed into the water off Whidbey Island Sept. 4. The Associated Press reported that multiple bodies were recovered and brought to the Island County coroner’s office when about 80% of the aircraft was pulled from the depths Thursday.
