The county’s comprehensive plan is nearing approval, and the last meetings to provide input are approaching.
County planning and community development will hold a meeting at 10 a.m. today to discuss public comments on the comprehensive plan at the Board of Commissioners Hearing Room in Coupeville.
The planning commission will then host a work shop at 2 p.m. Dec. 12 to discuss clarification on fish and wildlife habitat protection regulations to address a Growth Management Hearings Board order. A review of the Freeland development regulations will also be discussed. The meeting is in the same hearing room.
Lastly, a public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 13 on amending the comprehensive plan and Freeland Subarea Plan. An amendment to the code for the comprehensive plan as well as the county zoning atlas will also have a public hearing. The meeting is also in the hearing room.
