RELIGION NOTES | Christian Science explores itself

Twice each year, the Christian Science service explores the topic of Christian Science itself: definition, purpose, and connection to the Bible and Jesus’ teachings.

Twice each year, the Christian Science service explores the topic of Christian Science itself: definition, purpose, and connection to the Bible and Jesus’ teachings.

“This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death … The effect of this Science is to stir the human mind to a change of base, on which it may yield to the harmony of the divine Mind” (Science and Health).

Everyone is welcome at this service beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at 15910 Highway 525, just north of Bayview and across from Useless Bay Road. Sunday school is available at the same time.
