South Whidbey fourth graders to present to board

The South Whidbey School District board of directors will meet Wednesday evening to discuss matters such as the approval of various extracurricular activities, to listen to a presentation from fourth grade students and teachers Sue Raley and Rachel Kizer, and to recognize the accomplishments of certain Langley Middle School groups and individual students.

The South Whidbey School District board of directors will meet Wednesday evening to discuss matters such as the approval of various extracurricular activities, to listen to a presentation from fourth grade students and teachers Sue Raley and Rachel Kizer, and to recognize the accomplishments of certain Langley Middle School groups and individual students.

Items up for approval include a high school drama club, the South Whidbey High School Key Club’s attendance of an overnight conference and a proposed Langley Middle School adventure education trip to Rialto Beach/Ozette.

Langley Middle School recognitions include the nominees for the Tech Trek STEP camp, a Special Olympics State-level basketball competition participant, a Geography Bee winner and band honors.

The meeting will commence at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at South Whidbey Elementary School.
