“The South Whidbey High School track will once again be lit by glowing luminaria as walkers and runners from throughout the community take part in the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life, a team event to fight cancer.More than 25 teams from businesses, stores, offices, schools and organizations have already signed up to raise money and walk in the 24-hour event scheduled for 3 p.m.-3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 16-17. There are also 14 sponsors and a lineup of live entertainment plus a 24-hour DJ to play favorites. More teams and participants are encouraged.
