“The South Whidbey Senior Little League team took two games on their home field Saturday.In game one the host Sox scored 7 runs in 6 innings to give reliever Joe Green the win. Bryan Wenker came in for the 7th inning and shut the door on the South Skagit team for the save.Offensively the Sox were led by Jake McCormick’s 3 for 3 day with two stolen bases. Adam Jennings went 2 for 3 with two steals. The Sox stole 9 total bases, led by Eric Flister’s three.In game two starter Bryan Wenker dominated the visitors by allowing only 3 hits and striking out 12. Wenker also helped himself out by hitting his first home run deep over the left field fence in the third inning. Offensive honors once again went to McCormick with a 2 for 3 game. The Sox stole 7 bases while getting caught only once. “
