It’s the fifth appearance of the band at the Dog House; they last performed at the Dog’s annual Mardi Gras bash. Their music has the audience on their feet to dance and boogie.Cover is $5; sorry, venue is limited to those 21 and older.’CRIBBS MORROW CRIBBS’ Bayview Gallery opens an exhibit tonight of recent works by South Whidbey artists Briony Morrow-Cribbs and Buffy Cribbs, with a reception for the artists from 6-8 p.m. The show runs through Aug. 30.The show will include both paintings and etchings. Call 321-4535 for more information.ARTS AND CRAFTS IN COUPEVILLEEntertainment will take place nonstop at the Coupeville Arts and Crafts festival Aug. 12-13, featuring Island groups such as the Aloha Dancers, Local Buddha, Janie Cribbs, the South Whidbey Marimba Band and the Shifty Sailors, among others.Several artists in action will be present also, showing glass blowing, woodcarving, rug hooking, blacksmithing, spinning and many other crafts.The event runs from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. VICTORY SCHOUTEN’S ‘WOLF LOVE’An artist’s reception and poetry reading with Victory Lee Schouten is set for the CyberC@fe Aug. 18, when the poet will unveil her new handbound, signed, limited edition volume of 52 poems, Wolf Love. The book has been illustrated with art work by Rob Schouten, and the edition contains many of Victory’s best loved poems. It is also available as a CD with poems read by Victory and original guitar music by Lance Morgan.The wine and cheese reception at 6:30 p.m. will precede the 7:30 reading. The Schoutens will autograph books, and Bob Schouten’s original drawings will be on view and for sale. KEGAN SIMONS AT TEDDY’STeddy’s on Whidbey welcomes South Whidbey High School graduate Kegan Simons for a night of guitar and vocals in the bar on Aug. 18, beginning at 8 p.m. There is no cover.Simons has independently recorded, produced and released three CDs of his original material on his own label, OverTime Productions.
