Whidbey Island Triathlon to cause road restrictions

The 20th annual Whidbey Island Triathlon will cause road restrictions in Langley and surrounding areas from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30. The following road restrictions will be in effect for the safety of runners and cyclists:

The 20th annual Whidbey Island Triathlon will cause road restrictions in Langley and surrounding areas from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 30.

The following road restrictions will be in effect for the safety of runners and cyclists:

• Lakeside Drive between Traverse Road and Pintail Road will be reduced to one lane from 8 – 9:45 a.m.

• Traverse Road and Lakeside Drive will be closed from 9:45 – 11:45 a.m.

• DeBruyn Avenue will be closed between Saratoga Road and 3rd Street from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

• There will be limited turns from Bayview Road onto Andreason Road from 10:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

• Second Street will be closed between Park Avenue and DeBruyn Avenue from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
