“Eighth grader Jamie Hallberg was in the Langley Middle School locker room after gym class last Friday when he noticed that his watch was missing. The watch, which he received from his father and stepmother after saving his sister from drowning last summer, was not in his coat pocket where he had left it before changing into his gym clothes. Hallberg looked around the locker room, but could not find it. He said that it looks like someone stole it or picked it up after it fell out of his pocket. All he wants now is to get the watch back. The watch carries a good deal of sentimental value with it. On a warm day last June, Hallberg was staying with his father and stepmother on the East Coast when his 3-year-old half sister, Eliana, went underwater in a lake and did not come back up. Hallberg saw this and pulled the little girl out of the water before she drowned. His stepmother purchased the watch – a silver-banded Seiko with a black face – out of gratitude for his action. The watch is easily identified by an inscription on the back which reads Our Hero, 6/26/00. Hallberg said anyone who finds the watch can return it to him with no questions asked by turning it in at the main office at Langley Middle School. There is a cash reward for the watch. “
