Whidbey Children’s Theater brings the comedy Cheaper By the Dozen to the Clyde Theatre stage May 19-20, with 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. shows on Saturday and a 2 p.m. show on Sunday.The three act play is from the book by Frank Gilbreth and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey, and is adapted by Christopher Sergel. Cheaper By the Dozen was made into a hit movie in 1950, starring Clifton Webb and Myrna Loy. This production, directed by Martha Murphy, stars Patrick Moote as the inventive father of 12 children. Joining him in the cast are other talented young actors: Evan Elwell, Helena Farkas, Elizabeth Grant, Erin Hilton, Laura Hilton, Sean Kramanyan, Ian Laster, Kate Laster, Alex Simpson, Nathan Simpson, Bridget Scott, Michael Scullin and Marie Vanderbilt.The play is suitable for the whole family.
