Beatrice May Tribou

Beatrice May (Lott) Tribou, always in our hearts as “TuTu,” passed away at Island Hospital in Anacortes peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, 2006.

She was born to Ernest and Florence May Penaluna in Seattle on Jan. 24, 1921, the second of 11 children. Shortly after high school she married Wally Lott and spent some of her adult married life in the Ballard area of Seattle and in the 1950s moved to Whidbey Island where she lived and later married Robert Tribou.

She spent about 45 years in the Glendale, Possession Shores area of the Island and then moved with Bob to Lynnwood about seven years ago.

She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers, her son W.D. Lott and both spouses. She is survived by two sisters, Gloria and Jackie; three brothers, Gordon, Kenneth and Ronnie; her daughter, Sandra (Walter) Clarke; granddaughters, Lani (Bill) Brown, Tia Yeakel and Miranda Tribou; great-grandsons, Jonathan and Jacob Brown; step-sons, Bill and Bob Tribou; grandsons, Erick and Keith Tribou; a nephew, Jeff Tribou; her favorite niece, Marsha Merrick and family; special friend Judy Narrando, extended family, Debi Hughes and Brenda Sue Macanualty and families.

She will be missed for her love and laughter and the special person she was to all of us.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Holmes Harbor Rod & Gun Club, 3334 Brooks Hill Road in Langley at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10. Arrangements are in the care of Evans Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., Anacortes.
