Betty Mae Doratt

Betty Mae Doratt went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 16, 2013, in Coatesville, Pa. Betty was born on Jan. 20, 1934, in Greenbank, Wash.

She was the daughter of Ray E. and Laveta Mae Fossek and was raised on the family farm in Langley. She married her husband, Charles N. Doratt, on December 22, 1950, in Seattle.

They lived the majority of their married life in Chuck’s home state of Pennsylvania where they raised their five children. Betty was a true homemaker and her family was the joy of her life.

Chuck preceded Betty in death in 2007. She is survived by her five children Laveta Renner (Dana), Mike Doratt (Gail), Tom Doratt (Kathy), Kim Alenovitz, Mary Catherine Powell; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, stepmom Joyce Fossek; siblings Fred Fossek, Carl Fossek (Janet), “Tiny” Rae Tillman (Vance); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment was on Nov. 22, 2013, in Langley Woodmen Cemetery, with a memorial service held on Jan. 18, 2014, in Pomeroy, Pa., at the Central Baptist Church.

Betty is loved and missed and will always have a special place in the hearts of all of her family and friends.
