Dixon was born on Sept. 18, 1948, in Seattle.

He passed away on Jan. 27, 2019, in Clinton.

He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his beloved mother, Dolores Hayward; sons, Kristopher and Kyle Hayward; and sister, Linda Gray. He was predeceased by his father, Dixon M. Hayward.

Dixon graduated from Shoreline High School in 1966 and served in the Navy, Mobile Riverine Force, Mekong Delta during the Vietnam War.

He was a lifelong Husky football and Seahawks fan and was known for his love of fishing, dogs and his one of a kind sense of humor.
