Donald Wesley Maixner: July 6, 1936 – September 28, 2022

Donald Wesley Maixner was born in Newton, Kansas on July 6, 1936, and passed away on September 28, 2022, in Oak Harbor, Washington.

Donald Maixner enlisted in the US Navy on May 12th,1954, serving as an Air Traffic Controller and Radio Operator. He served with distinction during

the Vietnam War. On September 8, 1976, he retired and was transferred to the Fleet Reserve after just over 22 years of service. Donald retired from the military in 1976 and was proud of his service to his country. After retirement he and his wife enjoyed traveling all over the country in their fifth wheel and he especially loved boating.

He was preceded in death by his son Ron Maixner and daughter Corrin Maixner. He is survived by Alice Maixner (wife) Janice Wedel (sister) and Denise Poole (daughter).
