Evelyn was born in Duluth, Minn. to Gerda Matilda Anderson (nee Westring) and Kermit Peter Anderson and passed away after a long illness. She graduated from Proctor High School in nearby Proctor, Minn. at the top of her class with the high honor of Salutatorian where she played the clarinet in the school band.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, and her former husband, Bruce Bevers. She is survived by her husband, David Upham, of Sequim, Wash; brother, Dale Roger Anderson (Darlene) of Parker, Colo.; three children, Carlene Bevers Sullivan, of Lynnwood, Wash., Scott Bevers (Margielyn), of Clinton, Wash., Cherie Bevers, of Monroe, Wash; two children by marriage, Jon Upham (Kathy), of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Sidney Soelter(Clint), of Port Angeles, Wash.; as well as 16 grandchildren(5 by marriage); and 14 great grandchildren

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday, July 6 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Clinton, WA (South Whidbey Island) with interment behind the church.
