Iris Marybelle Johnson Cathcart Chilfone, from Freeland, Wash., born Feb. 11, 1948, passed peacefully in her home on June 1, 2021 after multiple complications stemming from cancer and the multiple sclerosis she dealt with for over 40 years. She is survived by her spouse of 32 years, Ronald Chilfone; daughter Lisa Meiers, 54; grandson Jesse Cathcart, 37; Jesse’s wife Courtney; and three great granddaughters, Brianna, 7, Natalie, 3, and Ashlyn, 6 months. She is preceeded in death by her son Donald Jay Cathcart. Iris enjoyed the simple life. Gardening, cooking, and taking care of the home.
