Jack Behrendt, 70, died Dec. 14, 2003.

He was born Feb. 1, 1933, in Everett to Fredrick and Alice Behrendt. He was a Korean War veteran and a loving husband and father. He was a lifelong resident of South Whidbey.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara, and a son, Rob.

He is survived by a daughter, Jackie Cartwright of Belfair; a son, Rick Behrendt of Camano Island; and two grandchildren, Jeff and Greg Cartwright.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Visser Funeral Home, Langley.
