Jenni Bartram: November 26, 1959 – March 3, 2022

Jenni Marie Bartram, age 62, passed away surrounded by her loving family on the morning of March 3rd 2022. Jenni was born on November 26, 1959, in Burglengenfeld, Germany. With her family, Jenni came to the United States and later found herself at home in Gulfport, Mississippi. In the summer of 1975, Jenni met Johnny Wayne Bartram, in an event that would later be described as “love at first sight.” John and Jenni married shortly after on November 13th that year and began their lives together. During the years her husband served in the Navy, Jenni found herself in many places including Mississippi, Puerto Rico, and Florida, before finding their home in Oak Harbor, Washington.

Jenni worked as a bank teller for years before retiring from Whidbey Island Bank to be a stay at home mother. Above all, Jenni lived her life for her family. In addition to being a faithful wife, Jenni was the dedicated mother of two daughters whom she raised. Jenni’s love for her family shined brightly at gatherings and during some of her most favorite times of the year; the holidays. Jenni enjoyed photography and the ability to capture moments that would be made into memories. Throughout her home you can find photo albums that illustrate a timeline of adventure and memories from her travels. Some of her favorite places she traveled to include Hawaii, Las Vegas, and Leavenworth, which brought her fond memories of Germany.

In addition to her love for travel, Jenni had an enjoyment for the arts. She would express her creativity with paints on canvases, thread through fabric, and beautiful writings tucked away in journals. As a gifted and natural writer, Jenni would write poetry, notes, and detailed entries about her life. Jenni neither lacked creativity on paper or in the kitchen. She loved food and would cook special meals for family such as German potato balls, German potato salad, or black eyed peas and cabbage to bring good luck come the New Year. Jenni’s strength, lvoing nature, and sense of humor will be deeply missed in the years to come by her friends and family.

Jenni is survived by her husband of 46 years, Johnny Bartram; daughter Jobins and her husband Andrew Moran; daughter Jamie Bartram and her husband Eric Cypher; grandchildren Jonathan Bartram, Emily Moran, and Jude Cypher; sister Joann and her husband Jim Gerst, and their children Jordin and Josh; sister Christine Purvis; and her beloved dog, Bosco. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Rosa Staiger; her mother, Jenni Purvis and her brother, Peter Purvis.

A celebration of life attended by family and friends was held at the Rocky Point Lodge in Oak Harbor on Saturday April 30th, 2022.
