Judith Gayle Shorey passed peacefully on March 17 at 5:42 p.m. surrounded by her family. Judith was born July 7, 1944, to Corabell and Edward Ingram.

She is survived by her sister Joan Long of Santa Barbara, Cailf.; her loving husband Mathew Shorey and their six children, Mathew Shorey II, Timothy Shorey, Tamera Shorey, Jennifer Buchholz, Christian Shorey and Michael Shorey; 12 grandchildren, John, Justin, Madeline, Shaylyn, Tina, Kayla, Ava, Joseph, Jared, Karli, Makenna and Mitchel; and two great-grandchildren.

She moved to Whidbey Island with Mathew in 1975 from Buffalo, N.Y. She was a wonderful homemaker, mother and volunteer. She enjoyed leading cub and Girl Scouts as well as being director of Altar Guild at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. April 22 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Trinity Lutheran Scholarship Fund.
