LeRoy (Mick) Olsen was born on July 9, 1941 in Bellingham, WA. and passed away Dec. 23, 2006. Mick was preceded in death by his father and mother, LeRoy and Eunice Olsen.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years Virginia (Ginny); sons Frank (Gina); daughters Tracy (Brad) Schultz, Melinda (Mike) Vazquez; and grandchildren, Evan, Chelsey, Victoria, Brandon. Mick was the oldest of seven children. Also surviving are his brothers Terry, Eric, Keith and sisters Patty Olsen, Suzanne Eiford, Lisa Bryant.

Mick and Ginny have lived on the south end of Whidbey Island for 25 years. He touched many lives socially and through his work as a building contractor. He was well known as a hard working, generous man who loved giving away his woodworking, candle making projects and items from his garden. He also enjoyed his boating trips and putting on firework shows for both his community and other towns.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeland on Jan.6 at 1:00 p.m.
