Lloyd Governor
“Gone Fishing”
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and papa Lloyd Governor, 93, passed away January 10, 2012.
He continued his journey from his home with family around him. He was born in Brookings, South Dakota on March 22, 1918.
He lived many years in southern Oregon, proudly serving as “Tech Sergeant Governor” in the US Army during WWII, before moving to Whidbey Island in 1969.
He is survived by his wife, 1 son, 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
Per his wishes, there will be no services held.
He enjoyed his 90th birthday party and felt that was better than any possible service that could be held after he passed.
Special thanks to Northwest Hospice and Jonie for providing the support to enable him to stay at home. His final resting will be at Bayview Cemetery on South Whidbey Island.
