Pamela Lee Smith, 60, died June 7, 2009 at Overlake Hospital due to metastatic breast cancer. Her daughter and best friend were by her side.
Pam was born Sept. 13, 1948 in Seattle. She was an only child born to William and Betty Riek.
She grew up in the Lakeridge area and graduated from Renton High School in 1966. She graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor of arts degree in interior decorating. After working as a stewardess for TWA based in Boston, she moved to California with her best friend, where she met her husband. They moved back to the Seattle area, where she had a son and a daughter.
In 1993, Pam moved to Langley, and for the last 15-plus years she commuted to Boeing as an office administrator. She was an active loyal employee, dear friend, loving mother and an honest, caring person.
Pam was preceded in death by her beloved mother and father.
Pam is survived by her son Matthew Nichol Smith of Langley and daughter Lindsay Lee Pozarycki; her husband Tom Pozarycki and grandchildren Ella Jane and Jett Tolin Pozarycki of Duvall. She is also survived by many relatives and friends, including her best friend Diane Hope and her husband Dave, Tom Bastain and Terre Greenwood, Sue Kulper and family, and her beloved animal friends Joey, Punkin, Snickers and Jelly Bean.
She was much loved and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
A potluck memorial to celebrate her life will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 23 at Marymoor Park’s north shelter. For further information call Lindsay at 425-531-4749.
