Anderson

Steven William Anderson passed away peacefully at his home in Surprise, Ariz. He was born Dec. 8, 1955, to William and Ramona Anderson and grew up in Kenmore, Wash. He was preceded in death by his dear father, William Anderson.

He is survived by his beloved mother Ramona Stretz; his life partner Denise Lee, whom he shared 34 years of his life with; two step-daughters, whom he loved and raised as his own, Roschele Neu (Shelley Wagoner) and Sylvan Taylor (Burns); four grandchildren, Danielle, Brandon, Isabelle and Kaleb; five great grandchildren; and his loyal dog “Baby.”

Steve was devoted to his career as a journeyman highway electrician. He was gifted and well respected in his field and served his community installing electrical infrastructure for major highways and bridges throughout Washington state.

Outside of work, Steve enjoyed spending time at home with his family. He loved to cook, barbecue and prepare delicious meals for others. Steve was very dedicated to his pets who all brought him great joy. He was an avid sports enthusiast and could name just about any statistic related to professional athletes and sports teams.

One of Steve’s greatest passions in life was enjoying Puget Sound and island life. Whether it was boating, fishing, crabbing, clamming or watching the amazing sunsets, Steve never took the wonders of his beautiful surroundings for granted.

Steve moved to the warmth of the Arizona sun and spent his retirement in flip-flops and shorts. He will be remembered for his great laugh, confident demeanor, strength, keen wit, matter-of-fact style and big heart.

Stop by and give a toast to Steve 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Cozy’s Tavern. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
