O’Donnell

As a young man from Southern California, Bill served in the Marine Corps and volunteered for duty in the Korean Conflict.

After service he managed a large Southern California rendering company. During this time he served on the board of directors, and one year as president, for the Pacific Coast Renderer’s association.

Subsequently, Bill relocated to the SLC, Utah area where he continued his career in rendering as an owner operator. Upon retirement, he and his wife moved to Whidbey Island, Wash., where he participated in community activities. Bill served on the Holmes Harbor Homeowners Association and was elected for several terms to the Holmes Harbor sewer board. Unfortunately, health reasons demanded that he retire.

William is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlene O’Donnell; brother, Paul O’Donnell; sons, William and Laurence O’Donnell; daughters, Gaylene Norris and Challise Tietjen; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 11, 2020 at Woodmen Cemetery Langley, Wash.
