South Whidbey’s girls soccer team is on the hunt for its first victory after losing its first two Cascade Conference matches.

The Falcons lost on the road Tuesday against the King’s Knights 8-0. Looking to rebound at home, South Whidbey was dropped 4-1 by Cedarcrest on Thursday.

At halftime, the Falcons trailed the Red Wolves 1-0 after a goal in the 36th minute by Red Wolves sophomore Karli White. Falcon senior goalie Ellie Greene had a busy night with 10 saves. The Red Wolves controlled the ball for much of the first half, keeping pressure on the Falcon defense that ultimately surrendered three more goals.

Senior Paige Farmer scored the lone goal for the Falcons, assisted by junior midfielder Maia Sparkman.
