The South Whidbey High School wrestling team dropped both ends of a double dual meet Thursday in Granite Falls.

The Falcons fell to the host Tigers 63-12 and to Lakewood 45-33.

Drew Aposhyan (132 pounds) led South Whidbey with a pair of pins.

Aiden Coleman (195) and Dylan Davis (285) each won once with a fall.

“We wrestled tough and hard,” coach Robbie Bozin said. “(We are) looking to focus on the detailed techniques that will hopefully get these wrestlers to state.”

South Whidbey competes in the George Yonlick Tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at Bellingham High School.
