South Whidbey stops Scots / Boys golf

The South Whidbey High School boys golf team came out on top in its first dual match of the season, defeating host Shorecrest 204-235 at the Jackson Park Golf Course Friday, March 15.

Gabe Jacobson-Ross shot 45 over the par-36, nine-hole event to lead the Falcons.

Brent de Wolf and Lewis Mattson both carded 52s, Soren Bratrude finished at 55 and Dane Sexton posted a 57.

South Whidbey will compete in the Viking Par 3 Shootout host by Lake Stevens at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the Battle Creek Golf Course.
