Tuesday’s basketball games postponed

South Whidbey High School’s basketball games scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14, have been postponed because of snow.

The boys home game with Granite Falls will be played Saturday, Feb. 1.

The girls game at King’s is now set for Saturday, Jan. 18.

Coupeville beat South Whidbey 13-2 in the baseball season opener.

Oak Harbor athlete Lilly Norman lobs the ball during a varsity softball game March 10. Oak Harbor High School hosted the Coupeville and South Whidbey high school softball teams. The Wildcats played both schools in two mini three-inning games. The Wildcats beat the South Whidbey Falcons 7-1. Oak Harbor’s game against the Coupeville Wolves stopped after one and a half innings due to sunset. The Wildcats were in the lead 6-2. — Jamboree triumph

The Oak Harbor varsity softball team played against both Coupeville and South Whidbey high schools.
