U-16 girls soccer team could advance to state following doubleheader this weekend

If South Whidbey Reign U-16 wins one of its two games against Mercer Island FC this weekend, the team will advance to the Washington Youth Soccer state quarterfinals.

The Reign play Mercer Island FC at 1 p.m. on the upper fields at Community Park. The girls won the North Puget Sound League championship after going undefeated in league. It was a complete flip from last season when the Reign lost 10 games and were outscored 54-8.
