Grad party donations sought

Front: Michael Davidson, Corey Edwards, Sean Rumberger, Chris Hezel.The South Whidbey High School Parent Teacher Student Association and Graduation Party Committee are asking for donations from the community to help fund scholarships for students who would like to attend the graduation party but can’t afford it. The grad night party is Saturday, June 9. Cost of the event is $125 per student.The event is an alcohol- and drug-free all night party. The company Grad Nights has been putting on these parties for 15 years. It will begin when students catch the 9:30 p.m. ferry from Clinton to Mukilteo where they will be taken to various destinations aboard coaches. They will return to Clinton on the 7 a.m. boat.The purpose of the Graduation Party is to provide students with an evening of activities spending time with classmates in an environment without alcohol and drugs.
