Mildred Prater

Mildred Irene Prater, 90, of Clinton, died May 4, 2004, at home under the care of hospice with her family by her side. She was born Dec. 23, 1913, to Charles and Tilda Mooney in Mitchell, S.D.
She was a long-time resident of Snohomish before moving to her son’s residence in 1994 on Whidbey Island.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always had a smile for everyone. She was the best.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George, of 61 years; son, Charles; and daughter, Diane Wiggins; and five grandsons.
She is survived by her sons Kenneth of Yuma, Ariz., Ronald (Carolee) of Clinton; Gordon (Mary) of Snohomish; daughters; Virginia Bagley of Snohomish, Donna White of Marysville; and sister Evelyn Jonneson of Mitchell, S.D.
A memorial service will be held May 15 at 2 p.m. at the home of Virginia Bagley at 6530 Foster Slough Road, Snohomish. Donations go to Hospice of Whidbey Island.
