Lois Sutton

Lois Sutton, a 35-year Whidbey Island resident, passed away Nov. 1, 2006.

Lois moved to Whidbey from Northridge, Calif.

She was an American Legion House Committee member, a vice president in the Women’s Auxiliary vice president, and assisted with the Island County Fair log show.

Lois was one of the founders of the Bunyon Buster Log Show and participated in events like the wheelbarrow race, along with all of the members of the “Nut Squad.” She was a 4-H parent who rode and competed with horses and other 4-H moms. Lois’ greatest joys in life were raising her daughter, granting her grandchildren’s every wish, and treating her son-in-law to all of the things he wanted. Some of here greatest joys in life were being with family and friends and traveling alongside them for all of the memorable vacations.

Lois loved her life, loved to laugh, and loved to make us laugh. She will be missed very much.

She is survived by her daughter Peggy Koska and son-in-law Jon Koska of Freeland, grandchildren Ashley and Kypher Koska, also of Freeland; sisters Renee Chin of San Diego, Calif., and Charlene Bennett of Live Oak, Calif.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6 at Visser Funeral Home in Langley.
