Elizabeth W. Auen

Elizabeth (Liz) W. Auen died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, at Whidbey General Hospital after a prolonged illness.
Liz was born Sept. 10, 1922. She has lived on the island for more than 26 years and was a member of St. Hubert Catholic Church in Langley.
Liz was a former nurse at Whidbey General and after leaving that work did home nursing on the island. She was actively involved in activities of the Clinton Senior Center as well as the Eagles.
Liz was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Edward Auen. She is survived by her sister, Sister Barbara Walsh SUSC of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews from Massachusetts; her stepson Dr. Edward Auen of California; stepson Ken and wife Nancy Auen of North Carolina; stepdaughter-in-law Barbara Auen of California; two granddaughters, Kathryne Auen and Melissa Auen; a grandson, Eric Auen, and many friends. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
There will be a funeral mass held in Liz’s memory at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at St. Hubert Catholic Church, followed by a potluck at the Eagles.
