Bush Point couple marks 66th anniversary

Ken and Josephine Frandsen recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary at their home at Bush Point.

Ken and Josephine were both born in Seattle; Ken in 1921 and Josephine in 1923. They were married in Seattle on July 31, 1942.

Ken served in the Navy during World War II and joined the Seattle Police Department in 1947. Josephine worked as a clerk at Garfield Transfer, a small Seattle trucking company. She and Ken eventually purchased the business and built it into a major regional warehousing and distribution firm.

The couple has four children; Jan Frandsen of Renton; Paul Frandsen of Riverside, Calif.; M’Liss Rae Hawley of Freeland; Erin Voutier of Clinton and numerous grandchildren and now great-grandchildren.

The couple retired to Whidbey Island in 1987.
