LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Community helps in time of need

To the editor:

A big thanks from Helping Hand to the South Whidbey community.

In a time of need you are priceless. The response from individual donors following The Record article describing our plight has been tremendous. Because of the financial donations, Helping Hand can continue its carry forth its Christian mission to help our South Whidbey brothers and sisters who are most in need. “When you do it unto the least of your brothers [and sisters] you do it unto me.”

The need for assistance will not disappear anytime soon and we at Helping Hand and other social service organizations hope the donations and concern for our neighbors will continue. Thanks and God bless.
