Langley plans fashion weekends

The latest effort in the Experience Langley campaign is under way.

The merchants committee of the Langley Chamber of Commerce is working on the city’s newest multi-day event, Fun & Fashion Langley Style, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 20-21.

Chamber director Sherry Jennings said the event will highlight local designers, clothing lines and accessories carried in Langley stores, along with a Saturday wine-and-beer-tasting session, a women’s fitness morning and makeovers.

Jennings said it will be a twice-yearly event, and another session is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-22, featuring a wedding expo component.
