LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Kudos to hometown heroes

Editor,

One of the things that attracted me to South Whidbey Island is the tremendous amount of community support and philanthropy.

Congratulations to hometown heroes Larry Corradini and Jim Engstrom, who I affectionately refer to as Pete and Repeat. These two gentlemen volunteer for everything — Good Cheer Food Bank, Senior Citizens Center, relocation of Jim’s Hardware and Brookhaven.

I understand that Calvary Chapel Whidbey Island, 3821 French Road, Clinton is accepting donations to assist them in acquiring more dependable transportation.

Please earmark any donation you are able to provide to Larry and Jim.
