LETTER TO THE EDITOR | Please throw your Mike’s Lemonade in the trash

Editor,

This letter is directed toward the person who has been decorating our island with Mike’s Harder Lemonade cans, adding a touch of black and yellow aluminum to our otherwise most pleasant roads.

I have been picking up after you along Wintergreen and Campbell Roads for many years now. It occurred to me that, rather than figuring out a way to snap a photo of your license plate and reporting you to the litter gods, perhaps I could appeal to you directly and ask that you begin collecting your own cans, then delivering them to a recycling center occasionally.

I remain hopeful that one day you will take on that responsibility.
