Alohi Elliot of Langley got the winning run to make the score 10-0 against the Montesano Bulldogs, helping the Snohomish Shock U-12 softball team become Washington champions.

In late June, the Shock played six undefeated teams from across the state in the tournament held in the Tri-Cities.

Alohi, 13, started softball with South Whidbey Little League before joining the Central Whidbey All-Star team. She is now part of a select fastpitch team based in Snohomish.

Alohi again tries out for the 2014-2015 season that begins in August.
