Heart screenings at Island Athletic Club

Whidbey General Hospital is offering Heartwise screenings at the Island Athletic Club in Freeland.

The screenings will be held from 7:30 to 10 a.m. March 12, 18 and 25.

The $80 screening provides immediate results for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, fasting blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate and body mass index. A registered nurse will discuss risk factors for heart attack and stroke as well as ways to improve your health.

Women on Whidbey with a financial challenge and men residing in Coupeville or Greenbank with a financial challenge are offered screenings at no cost through Soroptimist and Lions Clubs grants, respectively.
