The top doubles team from South Whidbey fell in the bi-district girls tennis tournament May 21 in Seattle.
Falcons Isla Dubendorf, a senior, and sophomore Bayley Gochanour lost in straight sets to be eliminated from the tournament after the second round.
First, Forrest Ridge’s Christina Chia and Amanda Hines won 6-1, 6-1. Falcon head coach Karyle Kramer said the score wasn’t indicative of the on-court performance, however, citing several games that went to deuce.
University Prep’s Heidi Reynolds and Annie Labell ended South Whidbey’s season with a 6-1, 6-2 win.
