LETTER TO THE EDITOR | A new name doesn’t mean better care at Whidbey General
Published 10:00 am Wednesday, March 9, 2016
Editor,
I am going to keep this simple and short. Was a new hospital administrator hired to facilitate needed change, or to focus on renaming the medical network on Whidbey Island?
What’s all the fuss about? A name change doesn’t improve health care. Why change the long-standing identity of Whidbey General Hospital?
Webster defines a hospital as an institution where the sick or injured are given medical or surgical care. What’s wrong with that? Is there a need for a costly name change? Absolutely not!
