Letter: No sympathy whatsoever for jet noise complainers

Editor,
Maybe I am not sympathetic enough to the persons living near the touch-and-go landing strip in Coupeville, but that landing strip has been there longer than a lot of those people.
Did they not know that type of noise was present when they bought or rented?
Our military needs the proper space to practice the moves that they need to know. I say let them alone.
I am so tired of hearing how we need to support our military and make sure they are well taken care of, then, in the (same) breath, complain about the noise.
If you don’t like it, move.
Our service members sacrifice their very lives for us and you can’t handle a little noise a few days a week.
Like the sign said, “Please excuse our noise, it is the sound of freedom.”
