Letter: Donations needed for tiny house project

Editor,
On behalf of the board of the nonprofit Tiny Houses in the Name of Christ (THINC), I would like to thank reporter Laura Guido for the succinct article on Saturday, Dec. 14 regarding our organization’s funding need. Due to new EPA regulations, the adjacent property to our current location in Langley is needed to provide adequate open space. The acquisition of this land would enable us to follow our original plan to build 10 tiny homes to provide much-needed low income housing.
Our goal is for a donor who desires to leave a lasting legacy in their name. The purchase would retain the beauty of the park-like setting of the property including the majestic trees. Our website thincwhidbey.org provides additional information and a way to donate online. Donations can also be made via mail to THINC at PO Box 974, Langley, WA 98260, or you can call our founder Coyla Shepard at 360-969-9444.
